4) Boys were exhausted but happy tonight, and fell asleep within minutes of hitting their pillows

5) I am committed to TRYING KLOVE'S challenge of not saying anything negative for 30 days.

5 Positives-Weekend version

Well I have not written my 5 positives all weekend, not because there was nothing positive to write about but because I was simply enjoying the life God has blessed with me so here is a summary of our weekend "5 Positives" style:

1) Friday had a wonderful time with neighbors, and friends for a last minute neighborhood cookout. It felt great to reach out to my friends while their hubby's were gone.

2) Friday during dinner, Nathen entertained 5 of the 6 children (all 3 and under) while us mommies enjoyed our dinner and conversation with one another.

3) Saturday was an awesome family day. We spent all day outside except for the boys' 2+ hour nap. After their nap the boys spent almost 4 hours playing in their baby pool.

4) Saturday while the boys were splashing Nathen and I sat and watched and enjoyed our blessings.

5) I actually got the house cleaned this weekend, even dusted!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well.

5 Positives-052010

1) Had lunch with the boys and Michele

2) Evan went potty on the toliet (this actually happened Tuesday but forgot to mention it, and am still really proud of him so had to share) without being told, we have not really started training him yet, but thinking maybe we should, as he tried to climb up on the toliet himself when he had to pee.

3) Ran into a good friend at the mall while picking up the boys.

4) Although my friend and I didn't get any good power walking in, I think we both worked up a sweat (at least I did) chasing our little ones through the mall

5) Purchased birthday gift, graduation card, and gift for baby and mommy to be

5 Positives-051710

1) Got into the Dr today same day I called and was diagnosed with a sinus infection , and prescribed some meds that will hopefully be kicking in soon. It stinks not to feel well especially with kiddos but its reassuring that there was something wrong and meds can fix it.

2) Boys, Nathen and I had a nice dinner time, you know sitting, eating, and talking about our day, it was wonderful.

3) Since my radio still hasn't been fixed I've enjoyed some great prayer time during my drive to and from work

4) This morning when I left the boys were smiling, laughing and waving bye bye they missed their Michele. We feel so blessed to have her watch our boys, and will miss her when she leaves the end of the month:( But this is a list of positives so not thinking about sad things.

5) Aiden is still awake but being so sweet...he just asked Nathen "you want to lay in bed w/ me" who can refuse that!

5 Positives-051610

1) The boys, Nathen and I had a wonderful afternoon together just playing and enjoying one another's company

2) Nathen and I were able to resolve a conflict we had earlier this weekend

3) The service today in church really ministered to me

4) My devotion was "liked" by someone on Facebook

5) The boys were so cute tonight at bedtime, they both wanted to sleep in Aiden's toddler bed together, confirming the idea and discussion Nathen and I had earlier about putting a queen size mattress in their room so they could sleep together.  Eventually we'll get bunk beds for them but right now I can't imagine either of them on the top bunk without a nervous momma in the next room.

5 Positives-A summary

Okay well I kind of fell off the positivity wagon for a few days, we were out of town and honestly just was not motivated to take the energy to find 5 positives for the last few days. However, I've noticed what a great excersise this has been and has negatively affected my attitude by not doing it the last few days...so I'm BACK!:) Today I'll summarize some positives from today and the last few days, and will promise to do this daily for myself.

1) Both boys have been sleeping for over an hour--a rare occurance for a Saturday

2) Went for a run this morning

3) Wednesday evening stayed with my aunt and uncle in Wichita, had a great visit, and the boys slept through the night--another rare occurance especially for being in a new unfamilar place.

4) Last night everyone except for me was asleep by 8:00 so I enjoyed some mindless, entertainment on TLC

5) Finished my Bible Study for Wednesday

Ahhh I feel so much better!

5 positives-050710

Well today was a wonderful day, eventhough it started with me walking into a basement with about an inch of water on the floor. We'll get to that in a bit--yes this is a positive.

1) Had some wonderful fellowship with other Christian moms at MOPS--in which we arrived a few minutes early.

2) Held a week old baby at the MOPS meeting

3) Both boys took a nice 2 hour nap

4) While I was mopping up water during the boys' nap time, I realized that this little inconvience was the worse thing that had happened today, and honestly I was smiling---how lucky I am that the most stressful thing about my day is mopping up some water!

5) After nap the boys and I had a wonderful time at the park and I had a nice time reconnecting with a childhood friend. After our 2 hours of play the boys and I walked home and no one was upset or crying when we left!:)

5 positives

Well several weeks ago at my MOPS group we had a lady talk to us about being a Proverbs 31 woman and she shared a lot of wonderful ideas one of them I recently implemented and thought I'd document it here. One of her suggestions was to journal every night about 5 positives in your day, regardless of how bad your day was you have to find 5 positives. Well I've done that now 2 nights, and because I have a blessed life they've been pretty easy to come up with. Here are the first 2 installments of my 5 positives

5 positives day 2

1) Had enough time to shave my legs this morning (I know it sounds ridiculous but every mom can appreciate why I have identified this as a positive:)

2) Aiden left sonic play area without any help or crying

3) Our wonderful nanny Michele timed her trip to play group just right so I could see my little guys during a short break.

4) Had some relaxation time with Nathen

5) While driving down Poyntz to a meeting saw a huge group gathered around courthouse praying.

5 positives Day 1
1) Received beautiful flowers as an early Mother's Day gift from my sister inlaw and brother in law.

2) Talked to a good friend the ol fashion way on the phone and have a play date set up for next Friday---its in writing now we have to do it!!:)

3) Scheduled to have dinner with 3 of my old college friends next week when I'm in Wichita

4) Cooked dinner and everyone seemed to like it

5) Both boys asleep before 9 and still in their bed.
