36+ Weeks and More Nursery Pics!!!

Nathen put together the dresser from Target, and atop of it is a K-State Piggy Bank that we have been putting our spare change in, I'm still trying to get him talked into a KU Piggy Bank too, but I'm afraid more money would go into the K-State one since Nathen tends to have more change than me---Oh well by the time Aiden goes to college we'll need all the spare change no matter which bank it comes from!!!:)
I'm anticipating spending much time here nursing Aiden. We added a few pictures, books and toys to keep Aiden entertained just in case mommy isnt very entertaining in the wee hours of the night/morning:)
As promised some belly pictures, these are all me at 36 weeks and 4 days.
The quilt above me is the one that my mom and Nathen's mom made. My mom did the cross stitching and Nathen's mom did the backing of the quilt. We are so fortunate to have such great parents who can work together as a team to make a cool heirloom that Aiden will have forever.
I had my 36 week appointment on Wednesday and it went very well. I was pleasantly surprise to only gain 1 lb in the last 2 weeks---I'm so glad that the pregnancy is almost over so I dont have to watch the scale numbers increase every time I step on it. But more importantly Nathen and I are very excited to meet our little guy. Another pleasant surprise at my appointment was that I am dilated at 2 cm and my Dr suspected that I could deliver within 2 weeks!!! But as I've talked to other mommies I could be at 2 cm for awhile before I progress any further so we are not counting on having him early, but it sure would be nice!!:)
I have been feeling pretty well, and feel very relieved that the nursery and our room are now completed. Everything is pretty much done, we just need to put the car seat in the car, and I need to get the burst of nesting energy and give the house a good once over. I've continued to have increased cramping in my inner thighs which are pretty painful but nothing that I can't manage. And have recently been revisited by middle of the night charlie horses in my calves, poor Nathen has been woken up 2 times this week to rub these out for me, although he doesn't remember doing so one night--poor thing is even working in his sleep!!!
This last week has been a lot of fun because many people now notice that I am pregnant and ask to feel my belly, I'm impressed that they ask because I've heard from others that strangers would just grab their belly without asking. So far no strangers have even asked which is good for me. It's mostly just co-workers who want to join me in my excitement, so its been fun talking to them and getting a few pointers from the ones who are veteran mommies.
Well geez, I've really rambled on. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Nursery Pictures

Hello All, As promised here are some pictures of our nursery. We took them a few weeks ago and I'm finally getting around to posting them. Nathen and I (okay really just Nathen) has been busily working on getting our room done too. We finally have all the ugly shag carpet out of our house!!!! We have a few things left to do in the nursery such as hang some pictures, and get the dresser set up--we just received that this week (previously we only had 1/2 the parts--gotta love Target, but at least there customer service Dept was friendly and mailed replacement order the same day I called). Belly picture at 33 weeks---I'm now almost 36 weeks and thought I'd just wait a few days (Tuesday) to post a 36 week picture---you all will notice the diference I'm sure:)
Baby Aiden's sleeping area after he grows out of the crib Nathen's dad made for us that we plan on keeping him in our room. I'll post pictures of that as soon as we get it---I'm excited to see it, its so cool that Nathen's dad is able to make us something for Aiden that he'll always have.
Exciting changing table area--we are going to put the quilt that my mom and Nathen's mom made above the changing table so our little guy will have something to look at, from what I hear he'll be spending lots of time on it!!!:)
Two toned stained doors which Nathen did ties everything together, in my opinion. Babyswing that was recommended by some of my mommy friends, hopefully Aiden will enjoy it as much as my friend's daughter has.
Box 1 of 2 of our dresser, with no parts to put it together, and some gifts from my last baby shower!!:)
I've noticed from being an aunt and around babies that they are quite interested and entertained by ceiling fans so we thought we would definately benifit from one in the nursery:)
Pillow that I received from baby shower makes a nice decoration for the crib, although I'll probably use it more than Aiden, since its probably not safe for him to have a pillow, but for now it looks nice. As for how my pregnancy is going, it is progressing very well. I start my weekly appointments next Wednesday and will be 36 weeks on Tuesday. It's hard to believe that I'm entering the 9th month already, I feel the "nesting" burst of energy coming--I have thought of many things I should do but have yet to complete all of them, hopefully the energy boost will come soon so I can get some deep cleaning done before our little guy arrives.
I also took a breastfeeding class last weekend which was somewhat helpful, but most of the information I already knew, but it only cost $10 and I got some coupons out of the deal so it was not a total waste.
Not much else going on, I promise to post some more pictures of both the nursery (w/ more decorations on the walls) and our room--we are planning on having it done before Aiden arrives, and we are almost done painting!
Until next time, take care:)
