What is your function!




Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.-- Romans 12:4-5



As believers we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. As the Bible says we may all have different functions but together we form one body, and belong to one another. I think that is pretty amazing that someone on the other side of the world is my sister in Christ, she may be a missionary in a third world country, that is her function, while I'm here in the comforts of my homeland sharing daily scriptures with others, and reaching out to those around me, that is my function. We are all human as well as Christians and it is our right and privledge to spread the word of Jesus to others, and to show others the love of Jesus. If we don't perform our "function" the body will break down just as a car breaks down if something isn't working right. So today do some reflection and identify what your function is to keep the family body of Christ strong. Once you identify it go and act on it!!! This is something I've really tried to live out more. Its easy to just do the scriptures online but I've really been convicted that I need to let my light shine in the real world as well, so I'm working on my function daily to ensure I am always glorifying God and making a stronger part of the christian body!
