5 Positives-052410

1) Had a nice chat with a friend the old fashion way by telephone (although it was a cell phone), but a great visit nonetheless.

2) Gave some clothes the boys have outgrown to a new mommy to a son, and mommy to 2 age 2 and under!

3) Evan went potty in the toliet this morning and tonight! I'm thinking he may just be potty trained before his 2nd birthday, we aren't pushing him though just following his lead.

4) Boys were exhausted but happy tonight, and fell asleep within minutes of hitting their pillows

5) I am committed to TRYING KLOVE'S challenge of not saying anything negative for 30 days.

5 Positives-Weekend version

Well I have not written my 5 positives all weekend, not because there was nothing positive to write about but because I was simply enjoying the life God has blessed with me so here is a summary of our weekend "5 Positives" style:

1) Friday had a wonderful time with neighbors, and friends for a last minute neighborhood cookout. It felt great to reach out to my friends while their hubby's were gone.

2) Friday during dinner, Nathen entertained 5 of the 6 children (all 3 and under) while us mommies enjoyed our dinner and conversation with one another.

3) Saturday was an awesome family day. We spent all day outside except for the boys' 2+ hour nap. After their nap the boys spent almost 4 hours playing in their baby pool.

4) Saturday while the boys were splashing Nathen and I sat and watched and enjoyed our blessings.

5) I actually got the house cleaned this weekend, even dusted!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well.

5 Positives-051710

1) Got into the Dr today same day I called and was diagnosed with a sinus infection , and prescribed some meds that will hopefully be kicking in soon. It stinks not to feel well especially with kiddos but its reassuring that there was something wrong and meds can fix it.

2) Boys, Nathen and I had a nice dinner time, you know sitting, eating, and talking about our day, it was wonderful.

3) Since my radio still hasn't been fixed I've enjoyed some great prayer time during my drive to and from work

4) This morning when I left the boys were smiling, laughing and waving bye bye they missed their Michele. We feel so blessed to have her watch our boys, and will miss her when she leaves the end of the month:( But this is a list of positives so not thinking about sad things.

5) Aiden is still awake but being so sweet...he just asked Nathen "you want to lay in bed w/ me" who can refuse that!

5 positives on kindof a negative day-051110

Well today was not the best day, it was quite challenging and frustrating, but I'm determined to find 5 positive things.

1) Even though nothing was fixed on my car today it only cost $10

2) Nathen helped me prepare a meal for a family

3) Received a sweet response message back from a old HCC team mate

4) Had some nice personal devotion and reflection time while waiting for my car

5) May have found someone interested in helping me out by mowing Nathen's grandmother's yard this summer.

Wow that was amazingly easy considering how bad I thought my day was.

3) Confirmed dinner plans with old hutch juco friends for Weds night

4) Aiden proclaimed that all boys are stubborn, and girls arn't

5) Nathen got home at 3:15 because of the weather, the boys were excited to see him as I was...I'm not a fan of rainy days with 2 active boys---but wait this is my positive list so I'm not complaining:)

5 positives-050710

Well today was a wonderful day, eventhough it started with me walking into a basement with about an inch of water on the floor. We'll get to that in a bit--yes this is a positive.

1) Had some wonderful fellowship with other Christian moms at MOPS--in which we arrived a few minutes early.

2) Held a week old baby at the MOPS meeting

3) Both boys took a nice 2 hour nap

4) While I was mopping up water during the boys' nap time, I realized that this little inconvience was the worse thing that had happened today, and honestly I was smiling---how lucky I am that the most stressful thing about my day is mopping up some water!

5) After nap the boys and I had a wonderful time at the park and I had a nice time reconnecting with a childhood friend. After our 2 hours of play the boys and I walked home and no one was upset or crying when we left!:)

5 positives

Well several weeks ago at my MOPS group we had a lady talk to us about being a Proverbs 31 woman and she shared a lot of wonderful ideas one of them I recently implemented and thought I'd document it here. One of her suggestions was to journal every night about 5 positives in your day, regardless of how bad your day was you have to find 5 positives. Well I've done that now 2 nights, and because I have a blessed life they've been pretty easy to come up with. Here are the first 2 installments of my 5 positives

5 positives day 2

1) Had enough time to shave my legs this morning (I know it sounds ridiculous but every mom can appreciate why I have identified this as a positive:)

2) Aiden left sonic play area without any help or crying

3) Our wonderful nanny Michele timed her trip to play group just right so I could see my little guys during a short break.

4) Had some relaxation time with Nathen

5) While driving down Poyntz to a meeting saw a huge group gathered around courthouse praying.

5 positives Day 1
1) Received beautiful flowers as an early Mother's Day gift from my sister inlaw and brother in law.

2) Talked to a good friend the ol fashion way on the phone and have a play date set up for next Friday---its in writing now we have to do it!!:)

3) Scheduled to have dinner with 3 of my old college friends next week when I'm in Wichita

4) Cooked dinner and everyone seemed to like it

5) Both boys asleep before 9 and still in their bed.
