32 Weeks and Spring has arrived!!!
Well since my last blog was designated to complaining about the cold winter, I though I'd post a more sunny entry today!:) It has been a beautiful day, and I took advantage of it and had the afternoon off (luckily I had no appointments scheduled and got my paperwork done in the morning and my mom had met me for lunch) after my Dr's appointment today. My appointment went well and I am measuring just as I should at 32 cms which is the first time I've measured right with my due date (before I'd been a week or so off). So I'm confident that I'll have little Aiden around my due date, if not I'll need to seek advice from one of my friends who was 10 days over due. If I'm 10 days overdue although bringing him into the world would be a wonderful birthday present for me, I hope he is able to have his own special birthday (preferably before mine:). I've been feeling really good for the most part but have gotten really bad cramps in my inner thighs my Dr said to increase my calcium intake. So after my walk with my mom today I treated myself (okay my mom did:) to some ice cream at my favorite Wamego establishment, Kreem Kup!! A glass of milk would have done the same trick, but not taste near as yummy and on a 65 degree day it was a nice treat after our walk. Since I'm now 32 weeks along I'll start seeing my Dr every 2 weeks and then weekly starting at 36 weeks. I can not believe how fast the time has flown by. I remember thinking in September when we had our first sonogram which showed I was only 7 weeks along I had wished I was further along, now I can't imagine having him any earlier than in April.
The nursery is nearly done, the carpet is being installed Saturday morning, and then Nathen and I can begin decorating. Hopefully with my next post I'll have pictures for everyone to view of our little guys room.
Well that is all for now, until next time take care and enjoy the springtime weather (while it lasts)!

31 Weeks!!!!
Hello, Sorry it has been nearly a month since my last post. We have been very busy preparing for Aiden's arrival. Nathen has gotten most of the nursery painted, all that is left is one wall in the closet, and hopefully this weekend we'll pick out carpet to be installed. Yup, we are hiring this job out, Nathen has laid carpet in the past and has learned that its worth the money to pay someone else to do it:) We have gotten all of the essential baby furniture to include crib (and yes mattress:), changing table, dresser, glider and ottoman, along with some toys that Aiden will hopefully find as fun as Nathen and I did (swing, and play gym). All we really need now is diapers and of course our bundle of joy:)
As I've mentioned before I work for an awesomely supportive agency and equally supportive people. Which they showed again their support and caring attitude by informing me that they are going to throw a shower for me--I told them they didn't need to worry about it, but I appreciated their thought, but they insist on giving me one, so I will of course enjoy the fun, presents, and most importantly cake (just kidding--presents and company come first:). Not only that but the gals in my office building (i work in a resource center where there are several agencies represented) informed me a few weeks ago that they too want to throw me a shower, I gave them the same spill that it was a sweet thought but they really didn't need to do that, and again they insisted, and I received the invitation a few days ago!!! I have always worried that I talk too much about the upcoming birth, and my pregnancy and wondered if anyone really cared, especially co-workers--but I guess I need to just relax and appreciate that they too are excited for me otherwise they would not bother with a shower(s).
Well as the title states I am now 31 weeks pregnant and its exciting to think that in a short 6-9 (37 weeks is considered full term) weeks Nathen and I will be parents. We are both very excited and I have moved past the scared and anxiety ridden phase. Although I am still nervous about being a good mom, but I figure a little nerves is good to have for such a huge responsibility. Fortunately, we are thankful to have great role models for parents. I'm posting a picture, and although many have made comments that I do not look as far along as I am, I think the picture shows my belly quite well!!! I do think though that I am carrying very differently than others, as I've gained the recommended amount of weight but don't have the cute pregnant belly as many of my cohorts have. But I was reassured by a gal in our childbirth class who said when she was as far as I am she looked similar and over a weekend her belly "just popped", she's due in March. Speaking of childbirth class, Nathen and I completed ours Saturday. We learned some great relaxation positions, and of course the infamous he-he-he-oh breathing. Our teacher was great and has been teaching childbirth classes for over 15 years so she was able to answer all of our questions, usually with very entertaining stories included in her answers.
Oh yea and eventhough it has been a month since my last post it is still very cold and it looks the same outside as it did 1 month ago!!! I'm sick of Winter and cannot wait for Spring. It's amazing I have not gained 20 lbs in the last month since I really have not been able to excerise (our elipitcal is still not fixed...long story--it should be fixed Friday) because of the ice, snow and frigid temps. I was able to go for a nice walk Sunday as it was above freezing and it felt wonderful. One positive thing about the weather is my mom has said it just like the Winter when she was pregnant with me, which is pretty neat, but I still cant wait for Spring:)
Well I will quit rambling and will try to make more regular posts so they are not so lengthy!
