Okay well Evan is actually 1 year and 2 weeks old!!! He turned 1 September 22nd. We had a small family party for him a few weeks before with grandparents. We wanted to do a big shindig just as we did with Aiden's 1st and 2nd birthday but honestly both Nathen and I were just too plain exhausted to plan such an event. Nathen being on the road for 10 weeks took its toll on both of our energy level. Eventhough it was a small gathering I know that fun was had by all, and it was much more relaxing for Nathen and I so we had fun too. Evan had his 1 year check up last Monday and his growth has slowed somewhat he is 31 inches (82nd % down from 97th) and 24 lbs 9 oz (76th%) and his head is much bigger than Aiden's was in fact I would say their heads are close to the same size even though Aiden is 17 months older, little Evan's head is 47.5 cm (80th). Yes our little guy is not that little any more:( He has finally figured out crawling, although he prefers to get around by walking and holding onto mommy's or whomever is willing finger. He so wants to just run with Aiden and I'm sure that will come before we know it. He continues to enjoy snuggling with anyone especially mommy (I know thats kind of conceited to say but I think everyone would agree he's bit of a mommy's boy--which I'm totally fine with I know before long I'll be boring to him and daddy will be more fun to hang out with). Other activities he enjoys is cruising around the furniture, climbing stairs, chasing balls, pushing cars, eating, and oh yes posing for the camera .I've started to get the camera out when he starts to get fussy and he will snap out of it and start hamming it up for the camera.
